Voting continues for the Weblog Awards until 4:00p on Tuesday, January 13. My blog is one of the ten 2008 Weblog Award Finalists in the Education Blog category. The winner is determined by a vote of the web community -- i.e., you. Voting is easy. Click here and then vote for Mike Falick's Blog.
Diane,
Thanks for voting.
I have read Outliers and found it to be excellent. I intend to put up a post on it soon.
Malcolm Gladwell is actually going to be in Houston next week (1/21) at a Greater Houston Partnership sponsored event (www.houston.org and click on Events).

Mike,
Congratulations! Looks like you are doing very well in the contest. I just voted for you and have enjoyed reading your site.
I really like your book recommendations. Have you read Malcolm Gladwell's latest, Outliers?
Keep up the good work and thanks for serving.
Yours for better schools,

I wish you well in the contest. We need people like you discussing what is happening in public education. Many people lack an understanding of the impact that legislative and State Board decisions have on the student, teacher, and administrators.
Thanks and keep up the good work! Thank you for serving.
