The Animoto program seems to have a lot of possibilities. I am interested in how it compares to the digital story telling that the Instructional Technology department is using. Am eager to learn how to do it and learn more about its potential.

here are some Animoto introductions to various things that have been created & used by SBISD Librarians this school year...enjoy!

Mike,

I could see this on the front page of the district's website and I could imagine similar animations on the websites of each of the schools in your district!

Even better, given the ease of use of Animoto, what if each school invited students to create an animation highlighting some of the great things going on at their own campus? Each school could run a contest for the best animation (monthly or each semester) then highlight the winning animation on their website. Students get engaged in a real project (marketing) and the school ends up with a cool new marketing tool to share with parents and the community.
