I recently began using a free online tool called Mindmeister. (There is also a more robust pay option for $4/month). Much like Kidspiration or Inspiration, it is a mind mapping tool. I find it to be very useful as a thought organizer and also as an outlining tool.
It is very easy to use. There is even a tutorial video you can watch that is 4 minutes long and will tell you everything you need to know to get started. Mindmeister can be fully collaborative, and can even be used by people in different locations through Skype.
On July 28, the Board will discuss and determine the Board's Legislative Agenda for the District for the upcoming Legislative Session. As I pulled these items together, I used Mindmeister to organize my thoughts. Here is the beginning of the mind map I made on the District's Legislative Agenda (click to enlarge).
You can read more about Mindmeister after the jump.
From the Mindmeister website:
MindMeister brings the concept of mind mapping to the web, using its facilities for real-time collaboration to allow truly global brainstorming sessions.
Users can create, manage and share mind maps online and access them anytime, from anywhere. In brainstorming mode, fellow MindMeisters from around the world (or just in different rooms) can simultaneously work on the same mind map - and see each other's changes as they happen. Using integrated Skype calls, they can throw around new ideas and put them down on 'paper' at the same time.
